Description: It is situated near the ‘casermette’ (barracks, Note of the Translator), from which it takes its name. It is the stump of a monolith; it appears solid and compact and it can be likened to menhirs. The structure is at the feet of an olive tree that hides it, on the side of a pavement. Behind the monolith there is a metal slab and at its feet dead leaves, natural vegetation, stones and waste are piled up. The surfaces of the sides, as well as the top, have irregular shape. An inclination towards the East is visible.

Historical Notes: Antonio Di Giacomo states that the menhir was situated in the open countryside and it was removed to make room for buildings. It broke during the removal.
