Dolmen Peschio o Pesco
Giurdignano (LE)
Object Type: Dolmen
Staus: Present
Latitude: 40.11155
Longitude: 18.43341
Description: It is not far from the dolmen Orfine; it is situated in the countryside, on a plot of land full of outcrops of rock. The megalith is well-worn; its capstone is intact and it has an irregular polygonal shape. On the North side it lays partly on an outcrop of rock, partly on the only orthostate still standing, which has an irregular shape. The South side lies on an outcrop of rock and on another rock (probably one of the collapsed orthostates). The surface of the megalith has lichen formations. On the West side of the capstone there are two holes; the biggest measures approximately 13 cm and the smallest approximately 4 cm. In the close vicinity of the structure there are big boulders of rock and mounds of stones on the ground.
