Description: The dolmen is situated in the territory of Fasano, near Masseria Ottava, inside an olive grove. It is big and it is made of two lateral slabs worn with time; the capstone lies on these two slabs and it has an irregular transversal breakage. The part of the slab lying on the left orthostate underwent a consolidation intervention, with the addition of supporting bricks to secure its stability. The North facing orthostate has black scabs on the surface; on the top of both orthostates there are two recesses, possibly used to support two beams. In the past the dolmen was covered by a mound of soil and it had a dromos (open passage, Note of the Translator) that disappeared. Because of its size it can be compared to the dolmens in the province of Bari.
