Description: The megalith is situated inside an olive grove, close to a perimeter wall. It is made of sandy tuff called ‘carparigno’; it has a capstone with a quadrangular shape very worn and covered by natural vegetation, supported by five monolithic pillars with irregular shapes. There are other fragments on the ground near the SE side and inside the cell.

Lastra di copertura: m 1.50 x 1.97, spessore da m 0.25 a m 0.30; altezza pilastri: Pilastro 1 – 0.64 x 0.50 Pilastro 2 – 0.47 x 0.30 Pilastro 3 – dimensioni non rilevabili Pilastro 4 – 0.42 x 0.48 Pilastro 5 – 0.54 x 0.48 Ingresso cella: m 0.85 x m 0.90.
Direction: Ingresso cella rivolto a Nord - Nord Ovest
Historical Notes: It was discovered by G. Palumbo in 1910 and later described by C. De Giorgi. In the Historical Archive of the SBAP it appears in the enforcement order of the restrictions as ‘Dolmen I di Melendugno’ in the town of Calimera.
